my way out

why must man longer thus
in a world of suffering and pain
I retire to bed with hope
to wake up in my yesterday
and every day is the same tale
of a never ending nightmare

my days slowly turn decades
my body from within decays
my mind sings of disharmony
my eyes forever delude me
my hair strands can’t wait to fall
as my ears yearn for my call

it mustn’t be far from now
the signs are here i see my crown
I’d lie in bed face up my head
no thirsty days no getting fed
harps and trumpets the angels sing
I was a fighter I was a king
