Taxes killing millions in Africa

There are lots of people falling sick in Africa, especially Nigeria, and they can’t get drugs to cure their illnesses. This is a fact, but why is this?

TAXES! That’s why. The duties on these drugs are just too high so that majority of the masses can’t afford them. I know this is a global problem, but it is even more evident in Africa.

Irregular electricity supply in Nigeria and the failure of retailers to pay on time for stocks delivered to them are two in the many factors contributing to the problem.

About 30 per cent of Nigerians can’t afford to buy the drugs they need to treat basic sicknesses because they do not have the money to do so.

So how can this problem be tackled in Nigeria and Africa at large?

Constant power supply.

Yea, regular power supply. That’s the solution. Pharmaceutical companies need uninterrupted power to produce and preserve drugs.

Let’s hope things change soonest, because billions of lives depend on this.
